Fabric ("the App") is developed and operated by Fabric Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a company based in New Jersey. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.
By using Fabric, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we never will. Your wardrobe data belongs to you.
Information We Collect
Account Information
Fabric uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. When you create an account, we receive from Apple:
- A unique user identifier assigned by Apple
- Your name (if you choose to share it)
- An email address (which may be your real address or an Apple-generated relay address, at your discretion)
We use this information solely to create and manage your account and to communicate with you about the App.
Photos and Wardrobe Content
Fabric allows you to photograph and catalog clothing items. Images you add to the App are uploaded to our servers to enable syncing across your devices. This content is associated with your account and is not shared with or accessible to other users.
Usage Data
We collect anonymized data about how the App is used — such as which features are accessed and how frequently — to help us understand what's working and where we can improve. This data does not identify you personally and is not linked to your account or your wardrobe content.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Sync your wardrobe data across your devices
- Respond to support requests
- Understand aggregate usage patterns to guide product development
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Third-Party Services
Fabric relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review.
Firebase (Google LLC)
We use Firebase for authentication and data storage. Firebase may process your account information and wardrobe content on our behalf. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Heroku (Salesforce, Inc.)
Our backend infrastructure runs on Heroku, a cloud platform operated by Salesforce. Heroku processes data as part of serving API requests from the App. Salesforce's privacy policy is available at salesforce.com/company/privacy.
We do not knowingly engage any additional third parties that have access to personal or wardrobe data beyond those listed above.
Data Retention
We retain your account information and wardrobe content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your associated data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the address below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
